Logan vs. Provo

Being born and raised in Utah Valley, Provo was just another neighborhood for me. When I was graduating high school and all of my friends were all headed off to school, the only thing I was looking at was my full-time Pier 49 job. Most of my friends went to BYU, the rest all spread across the state. I was never a fan of Provo. I didn't ever want to live there. I stayed at my parents house until I became brave and wanted to move away. Financially, I couldn't support myself, so I talked to my parents and they agreed to helped me with my car (my mom really wanted me to go do something good for myself). I had saved up enough money to be able to pay for tuition and rent etc. after working at the Bank of American Fork for over a year. I signed up for school at USU and was headed to Logan in the winter of 2008. I moved to an apartment called Garden Court. I lived there until the next Fall. I worked at a place called Creative Communications typing poems that were published into books. I cleaned my bosses mansion home during the summer full-time. Then when that Fall came I moved into a house just below Old Main Hill. I loved that house! I moved in with 3 girls I didn't previously know and I ended up loving them. I had the scary basement room, with a window the size of my head and carpet walls. But it ended up suiting me well. That room became my favorite one so far.

Now, on to the comparing part. Logan was fun, but it was boring too. The mall was the size of a large gas station. It had one main hallway, with your basic Hot Topic, American Eagle, and a creepy hooker shop. Shopping came down to Wal-Mart or Wal-Mart. Riding my bike down main street and through the older homes was the best! The fact that campus was up the largest hill in Utah, wasn't the best part of bike riding. I walked up Old Main every day, sometimes more than once. I'm still wondering why my legs aren't as tough as steel. If you ever needed a place to go, sit and relax, there was ALWAYS one.
I went running in Logan a lot. Running anywhere is exhilarating. The people who live in Logan are always nice. They are not weirdos from a small town, they are just good people. Campus was awesome! It was probably the best part. It was big enough that it felt like I was actually in college, but it was small enough that it was more personal. The weather, oh the weather! The bitter cold winters suck. That's it.
Besides when you decided to spend a portion of your life savings for snowboarding activities. I bought a pass, and all the goods for snowboarding this last winter because I didn't want to sit in my room next to the heater all day like I did the last one. So me and my friends went snowboarding whenever we could, and it was awesome! Beaver is a small resort, but it was good, and had personality. I enjoyed that. The summers are SO pretty! I really really love Logan in the summer. When it comes down to boys, once you meet one, they all have some connection, and no matter what, the next boy you date, will put you in a sticky situation. That is probably the worst part of living in Logan and being single. Logan over all, turned out to be a lot better than I though it would be. I grew so much individually as a person when I moved/lived there.
As for Provo, it is not as terrible as I thought it was. Although living at King Henry is probably one of the dumb choices I've made in my life. If you want more details just move there. ;) Most of my friends are married now, but I still have a few old ones that are around, so that's good. I like living close enough to my parents that I can just drive home whenever I want, but yet I'm not TOO close. Provo is flat, which is perfect for riding my bike around! There are lots of yummy places to eat food in Provo. There are lots of people everywhere, so you can meet new people all the time. There are a lot more job opportunities as well so you don't have to type "cat vs. dog" poems all day long. Utah Valley is pretty, it's just something I think I'm used to, since I've constantly been in this area since I was born. Speaking of born, I was born in the Provo Hospital, making Provo 2 props cooler. My mom was going to name me Whitney, but then last minute she decided to change it to Britney. I'm not the biggest fan, but I'm just glad my name is spelled Britney and not Brittany, or Brittney, or Britnay, or Shitney, (my brothers always used to call me that).
